Power of attorney
The translation is certified and recognized nationwide in Germany.
A 'Vollmacht' is a legal document that authorizes one person to act on behalf of another person or organization to perform certain actions or make decisions. The person granting the power is known as the 'Vollmachtgeber' (grantor of power), while the one receiving the power is referred to as the 'Bevollmächtigter' or 'Vollmachtnehmer' (authorized representative or power of attorney holder). A power of attorney can cover various areas, such as representation in legal matters, financial transactions, healthcare decisions, or other specific powers specified in the document. Powers of attorney are often used in legal matters or business relationships to regulate legal capacity and the ability to delegate responsibilities.
